Below you will find the scheduled dates for the Summer Driver Education program to be held at Providence High School. Summer classes will run for 8 days, and THERE WILL BE NO MAKEUP DATES FOR THESE CLASSES. If a student fails to complete ALL of the 8 days due to being late to class or absent from class, then they will need to register again, pay the $45 fee, and start the class over. Two classroom sessions will be offered; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. It is recommended that you arrive 10-15 minutes before the class session begins so you will have time to find the classroom location. For more information on classroom location, you may contact the Driver Education Site Coordinator, Monica Truesdale, or call the Providence main office any Monday-Thursday.

Students will need to bring a copy of their Birth Certificate on the FIRST day of class. Other items needed are a pen and paper to take notes during the classes. To be eligible to take the Summer Driver Education program, students must be at least 14 ½ years old on or before the first day of the class session that they are registering for.

There is a fee of $45 to take the classroom phase of Driver Education; the driving phase will be free of charge. The $45 fee is due before or on the 1st day of class. To guarantee a spot in a session, you may register and pay online BEFORE the first day of class with a credit card by clicking on the “Register and Pay Now” button found below each session that is open for registration.

To show that a student has pre-registered, they will need to take a receipt of payment with them on the first day of class and give it to the Driver Education teacher. If you do not have access to the Internet, you can still guarantee a spot in a session and receive a receipt by coming by the Jordan Driving School office before the first day of class and pre-registering. Payment can be made with a credit card, certified check, money order or cash. Certified checks or money orders should be made payable to, “Jordan Driving School Charlotte”. NO PERSONAL CHECKS CAN BE ACCEPTED.

The maximum number of students for a class is 35. Should all 35 spots be pre-paid, then no students will be added to the class on the first day of class. If space is available, students may be added to the class, and can pay the $45 fee on the first day of class by cash, certified check, or money order. Certified checks or money orders should be made payable to, “Jordan Driving School Charlotte”. NO PERSONAL CHECKS CAN BE ACCEPTED.

There must be a minimum of 25 students paid on the first day of class, or the class will be cancelled. If a class is cancelled because of insufficient numbers, those students who have already paid the fee will need to call the Jordan Driving School office to be moved to another class session. There will be no refunds should a student begin the class and then dropout or fail.

Session #1: June 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28 (Students must have been born on or before December 18, 1997 to register for this course)

Session #2: July 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12 (Students must have been born on or before January 2, 1998 to register for this course)

Time: 8:00am-11:45am

Session #3: July 23, 24, 25, 26, 30, 31, and August 1, 2 (Students must have been born on or before January 23, 1998 to register for this course)
