How to Register for a Class
If your student is at least 14 ½ years old and attends a Mecklenburg County public school, private school, charter school, or home school, they may register to take Driver Education through Jordan Driving School Charlotte. For students who attend schools outside Mecklenburg County, they will need to contact the closest public school to the school they attend and inquire about the Driver Education program for that county. Residency in Mecklenburg County does not determine Driver Education eligibility; where the student attends school is the determining factor. Mecklenburg County students who are older than 18 years old, but are still in high school are eligible to take Driver Education, but will need to read the “over 18” Driver Education policy.
It will be the choice of each high school as to what sessions they actually choose to hold. Click here to see the list of scheduled Driver Education sessions in Mecklenburg County. Click here to see the list of Driver Education Site Coordinators and their contact information.
To guarantee a spot in any of our sessions, you may register and pay online BEFORE the class cutoff date with a credit card by clicking on the “Register and Pay Now” link found under each session that is open for registration. When registering, do not use the student's CMS email address as this email cannot be used for correspondence from Jordan Driving School. If you do not have access to the Internet, you can still guarantee a spot in a session and receive a receipt by coming by the Jordan Driving School offices before the class cutoff date and pre-registering. Please call the Jordan Driving School offices at 704-566-9900 before coming to the office to see if space is available for the class that you are interested in. Payment can be made in person with a certified check, money order, or cash. Certified checks or money orders should be made payable to, “Jordan Driving School Charlotte”. PERSONAL CHECKS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED. Learn more about why there is a fee for driver education.
The maximum number of students for a class is 35. There will be no refunds should a student begin the class and then drop-out or fail.
