Current Cancelations

Out of an abundance of caution and due to winter weather conditions in the forecast for Wednesday, February 19 2025, all Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools are shifting to remote instruction. There will be no extracurricular activities, facility use, or athletics. All scheduled testing will resume when we return to school. The Before and After School Enrichment Program will also be cancelled.

General Inclement Weather Policy

If the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system closes due to inclement weather, there will be no Driver Education classes or behind-the-wheel lessons held that day county-wide. When classroom or behind the wheel lessons are canceled, teachers make every effort to contact affected students by phone, email, and through school announcements.

If schools are in session when the inclement weather decision is made, each individual school's office makes announcements regarding after-school activities. If after-school activities are canceled at an individual school, then all Driver Education classes and behind-the-wheel lessons are also canceled for that day.
